Thug Poetry Volume 2

It's an amazing thing what love can make a person-do//
A break up can make cats feel like God put a curse-on-you//
Love makes girls stay when they're man is cheatin-on-them//
And some stay even when they're man is beatin-on-them//
Some cats will make their wrists start rubbin-a-knife//
Some people kill themselves for the love-of-their-life//
Allow me to tell you a tale, allow me to weave-my-flows//
Whether the story's fiction or not, you need-not-know//
Emily always loved Jason, despite flings with other guys//
The two knew each other since they were about five//
She would blow kisses at Jason when-she-said-bye//
And she would lick her lips at him when-she-said-hi//
And when she'd-get-high, she'd give-him-a-puff//
He made her feel rich though she was livin-so-rough//
Jason always loved her since he first danced-wit-her//
But he thought that he'd never have a chance-wit-her//
It wasn't until Jason was sixteen that he asked-her-out//
Emily fell head over heels, nearly passin-out//
They got wit each other and thought they'd be together-forever//
They liked the thug life so they bought a
beretta-together//
Flash forward two years later, they're still a young-couple//
But now they're relationship is goin through some-trouble//
Jason constantly came home when it was late-at-night//
And the lame excuses he gave would never make-it-right//
And whenever Jason came home and went-to-their-room//
Emily would suddenly smell the scent-of-perfume//
She started doubtin if her love for Jason was mutual//
And then one night, Jason went out later than usual//
So Emily thought she was trapped in a world of mystery//
She looked through Jason's stuff, found a number labeled Tiffany//
She started to realize that things weren't oh-so-great//
What Jason was doin and why he came home-so-late//
She realized that Jason was out after work gettin-laid//
She thought about it and couldn't believe she was gettin-played//
So she thought about it more and yelled "Fuck-this-shit"//
Emily broke a mirror and used the pieces to cut-her-wrists//
She swallowed madd pills and got a little buzz-from-the-drugs//
And in the end, there was her body and blood-on-the-rug//
Imagine Jason's face the minute he stepped-through-the-door//
Seein Emily's body with blood stains left-on-the-floor//
The note said "Jason my love, why did you betray-me?//
How could you say we were meant to be and play-me?//
I was blind to your ways before but now I see-it-better//
So now, Tiffany and you can finally be-together"//
Right then, Jason couldn't believe the shit he was readin//
Cause the truth was that Jason wasn't even cheatin//
Tiffany was a jewelry dealer, she sold them shinin-things//
And Tiffany was only sellin Jason a diamond-ring//
Jason was actually gonna ask Emily to be-his-wife//
But at that moment, Jason only wanted to cease-his-life//
He said "I love you, babe", as if she could still hear-that//
Jason tried his best but he juss couldn't hold his tears-back//
He would've done anythin juss to kiss-her-again//
He thought about the only way he could be with-her-again//
Jason ran and got their beretta from under-the-bed//
He loaded it with one bullet, put the gun-to-his-head//
AND PULLED THE TRIGGER...

Ron Paul = The Truth: Volume 2

"There may even be an ANARCHIST here or two..."

Damn right! There are most definitely some anarchists out there actively supporting Ron Paul for President. The fact that the man speaks the truth about the Iraq war, the War on Terror, the War on Drugs, along with his philosophy of libertarianism all naturally appeal to the hearts and minds of many anarchists. Does supporting a man for President, in the first place, run counter to anarchist ideals and principles? In my opinion, not necessarily. To proclaim anarchist ideals, which reject the legitimacy of the democratic process, as an excuse to just remaining apathetic about politics is nihilistic and counterproductive towards change. By not knowing about or participating in politics and contemporary political discourse, you simply help those who wish to marginalise our views and opinions about the state and illegitimate power. Those of us, who are the more pragmatic and realistic kind of anarchists, feel that any step towards shrinking and, ultimately, liquidating the state must be taken. So we work within the sphere of the political process and, for practical purposes, go by labels such as "Left Libertarian" and "Progressive Libertarian". Yes, we still share the same dreams and ideals of our fellow revolutionaries, but we just want to bring about and see real, concrete progress made in the direction of our ideals in a more pragmatic matter. So it shouldn't be ironic to see someone who wishes to smash the state at a presidential campaign. It should be expected and encouraged. While direct action, counter-economics, spreading pamphlets and essays, and making punk music are all great methods of spreading our ideas, the most direct action we can take is to make our voice heard within the political process. VOTE RON PAUL!

The Paraphernalia Of Suffering

"He found himself in the window of a pawnshop full of fur coats, diamond rings, watches, shotguns, fishing tackle, mandolins. All these things were the paraphernalia of suffering."-Nathaniel West
Hip Hop culture and the lifestyle of many young, urban minorities revolve around the value system of economic (a.k.a. false) materialism. Rather than the true, philosophical materialism of seeing matter as the only thing that exists, today's urban youth see products and luxuries as the only things that exist. Hip Hop culture, which was once a truly anti-establishment culture of the poor inner city, has become assimilated into the very establishment it initially opposed. After the initial false predictions of hip hop's transient place in music and the premature, dismissive accusations that hip hop was nothing more than "a fad" were quieted by hip hop's obvious staying power, the most despicable sector of the American capitalist system, the music industry, slowly realized the enormous potential for profit that this music of the urban ghettoes possessed. Soon, hip hop culture became commodified, packaged, and shipped out to be sold around America and around the world. Suburban youth and youth around the world soon were exposed to this new genre of music. But before this, hip hop had to first be refined through the filters of "the mainstream". As a result, hip hop culture was stripped of much of its rebelliousness and authenticity, and like all anti-establishment movements, it ended up being absorbed into the system. The absorption of hip hop into the capitalist establishment also gave hip hop culture an injection of capitalist values. False materialism, capital accumulation, conspicuous consumption, consumerism, shameless self-promotion, and commodity fetishism have all become part of the hip hop culture and thus readily adopted by the new generation of hip hop listeners. Now, this commodified, diluted, commercialized simulation of hip hop has become accepted by many in the culture as the authentic version rather than the counterfeit. Young urban minorities, who were the very demographic which gave birth to hip hop, are now told by large media corporations what is and isn't good hip hop music and what is and isn't hip hop culture.
But all this should not be news to anyone, let's start getting a little deeper into this phenomena of the corruption of hip hop culture with capitalist values. Instead of resisting this distortion of hip hop culture by the establishment, young urban minorities readily accepted and adopted these American capitalist values. Rather than fighting the bourgeois appropriation of hip hop culture, young, urban minorities were seduced by the music and entertainment industries with images of the rappers they admired surrounded by money, cars, beautiful women, and a vast array of bourgeois luxuries. Young, urban minorities were paradoxically made to believe that in order to be a part of hip hop culture and rebel against the ruling class, they had to become just like the ruling class. Hip hop culture integrated within the framework of the establishment as an acceptable outlet through which potential radicals could vent their frustration with the system and thus have the threat that they pose to the existing order become neutralized. Hip hop became a diet rebel-music with only one calorie of revolutionary potential. All other values within hip hop culture (e.g. keepin it real, social consciousness, artistic ability) became inferior to that main value of the capitalist system... stacking paper, getting bread, making dough. Why did this once very revolutionary demographic so readily accept bourgeois values? Well, an examination of history shows that this demographic has been oppressed and kept socially and politically powerless. These poor, young minorities feel, and are fully aware of, this lack of power, and in addition to this powerless state, they have to deal with the poverty and suffering of their surrounding conditions. The concrete jungle is a vicious and stressful environment. Substantial upward social movement seems like a Herculean task to many young, urban minorities, and those who can show off proof of (or the illusion of) upward social movement, which is defined by capital accumulation, are thus honored for fulfilling these shameless bourgeois goals of getting money by any means. Conspicuous consumption becomes a way of compensating for their lack of real power within society and a way of masking and numbing the pain and suffering of the actual economic conditions of their environment or their community.
What makes all this even more tragic is that since most urban youth simply do not have access to legitimate means of capital accumulation, they either save up the little money they have to obtain bourgeois luxuries, or they make use of the illegitimate means of capital accumulation. Their choice becomes one of either risking their freedom (and possibly their life) through activity in the black market or perpetuating their poverty in order to put up a front of economic prosperity. Now engagement in the black market is a topic which I will save for other articles. (the blog is called Puffin L's after all) What interests us right now is the fact that many urban youths feel as if they have to put on the costume of financial success in order to have any self-respect and any positive sense of their own worth. Though they are poor and socially powerless, they must disguise themselves as people of affluence and wealth. They struggle to hide from the rest of society their true condition and, in effect, their true being. And like Nathaniel West says, all the jewelry, brand name clothes, and bourgeois luxuries that these young, urban minorities conspicuously flaunt in public all amount to being nothing but the paraphernalia of suffering. All these material objects that these inner city kids put on to make themselves feel as if, just maybe, they're somebody are just evidence of a crime committed on them by society and the system. Much like Christianity, Hip hop culture, which was once a rebellious and prophetic movement, has become integrated into the establishment and has become a Constantinian version of its original self. And also like Christianity, this Constantinian version of hip hop is now being used as a tool of oppression and repression. Let us say NO to the paraphernalia of suffering! NO to values which makes people feel as if they have no self-worth because they are poor! NO to the commodification of our (HIP HOP) culture! NO to the suffering that is social degradation, self-alienation, and social alienation!

Thug Poetry Volume 1

UNTITLED
As I feel my heart begin to sink
While I drown my sorrow in these drinks
The only thing I can think
What did it all happen for?
It hurts whenever I remember the day
That you decided to go away
The only thing that I can say
Tragedy follows both love and war
Sunny days don't stop the rain
And marijuana don't stop the pain
It just helps to keep me sane
I've never felt this way before
I once told you that my biggest fear
Was that one day you wouldn't be here
And I can't hold back all these tears
I can't take it anymore
And thats why I lay dead on the floor...

Ash Tha God & His Politics Volume 1

"My accusers, then, as I maintain, have said little or nothing that is true, but from me you shall hear the whole truth- not, I can assure you, gentlemen, in flowery language like theirs, decked out with fine words and phrases. No, what you will hear will be a straightforward speech in the first words that occur to me, confident as I am in the justice of my cause, and I do not want any of you to expect anything different." - Socrates

And that my friends is what I, Ash tha God, promise to you. Truth! Political, social, economic, philosophical, spiritual and personal truth! Not merely cynical polemic dressed up with existentialist and Marxist abstractions and literary metaphors that sound good but say little. I will tell you in a straightforward manner what I think about anything and everything. Now, as the title indicates, let's discuss politics. First, what is political thought and political philosophy?

"By political thought we understand the reflection on, or the exposition of, political ideas; and by a political idea we may understand any politically significant 'phantasm, notion, species, or whatever it is about which the mind can be employed in thinking' concerning the political fundamentals. Hence, all political philosophy is political thought but not all political thought is political philosophy. Political thought is, as such, indifferent to the distinction bewteen opinion and knowledge; but political philosophy is the conscious, coherent, and relentless effort to replace opinions about the political fundamentals by knowledge regarding them... A political thinker who is not a philosopher is primarily interested in, or attached to, a specific order or policy; the political philosopher is primarily interested in, or attached to, the truth." -
Leo Strauss

An interesting comment by one of the founders of
Neo-conservatism, Leo Strauss. His distinction between political philosopher and political thinker is still alittle unclear. What political thinker would admit that he/she was not primarily interested in the truth? And don't all political philosophers (e.g. Karl Marx, John Stuart Mill, Thomas Paine, John Locke) have a specific policy or order that they would like to see manifested in society? Which they also endorse through their philosophy? Anyone, whether philosopher, thinker or charlatan, will claim that their primary interest is truth! I say Strauss' idea of philosophy is much too narrow. Because, all thought is philosophy! All thought is the pondering of and reflection upon what is truth. Therefore, all political thought is political philosophy! Let's stop putting the label of political philosopher on a pedestal which can only be reached by academic intellectuals. Even Sean Hannity, with all that is wrong with his political views, could be considered a political philosopher. His beliefs on "spreading democracy" throughout the Middle East, his belief in (Christian) religion as a benevolent institution in society, his use of the word "socialist" to describe Democratic policies such as universal health care. These are all aspects of his brand of political philosophy and truth.

Man is by nature a political animal”-
Aristotle

And such is the catalyst and driving force for my interest in politics. All of social life derives from the political. The commodities we consume, the make-up of our communities, the quality of our lives, and the rules and laws we are forced to obey. All these are the products of our political system. So many aspects of our lives are affected by politics. Our very consciousness and weltanschauung derives from and is continuously affected by the political environment of our society (whether we support or are antagonistic towards it). Even with the abolition of the state, there will still be politics. (But instead of politics which aims to maintain and strengthen the state and the use of force, it will be a politics of how to do without a state and how to distribute power and resources without the use of coercion and force!) If you’re apathetic about politics, you’re ultimately apathetic about your life.

"Man was/is born free, and everywhere he is in chains"-
Jean-Jacques Rouseeau

This is one of the pillars of my worldview and view of society. When we are born, we know nothing of the oppression of religion and morality. The concept of law is meaningless to us, and the only limits to freedom we experience are those regulated by natural law. Initially, our consciousness is free of the oppressors, hypocrites, and slave-drivers known as religion, morality, and law. But once the rules for both the socio-political and the spiritual plane of existence are properly indoctrinated into us, we learn that we cannot ecape them and they imprison us and restricts our actions. This is why everywhere, man is in chains. As long as man is subject to a "justice", which is defined and handed out by "God", the policeman, the judge, or the politician.

"In all societies- from societies that are very meagerly developed and have barely attained the dawnings of civilization, down to the most advanced and powerful societies- two classes of people appear- a class that rules and a class that is ruled. The first class, always the less numerous, performs all political functions, monopolizes power and ejoys the advantages that power brings, whereas the second, the more numerous class, is directed and controlled by the first, in a manner that is now more or less legal, now more or less arbitrary and violent, and supplies the first, in appearance at least, with material means of subsistence and with the instrumentalities that are essential to the vitality of the political organism."-
Gaetano Mosca

And nothing could be more true than this comment by Gaetano Mosca. Every society has been comprised of two basic classes: the ruling class and the ruled. And in all these societies, the ruling class has used the state as its instrument of maintaining power and oppressing the ruled masses. This is one of my basic reasons for my support of the abolition of the state. The ruled class is defenseless against a state, which draws its strength from draining the energy and resources of the very class that it oppresses. Also, the state uses "education", the media, and sometimes outright force in order to manipulate the ruled class into supporting their oppressors. So what I propose is, the overthrow of the ruling class via the smashing the of the state. We must fight the growth and strengthening of the state, especially in regards to the state's police powers. The state's ability to use violence and coercion must be diminished and ultimately annihilated.

"Socialism with regards to its means.- Socialism is the visionary younger brother of an almost decrepit despotism, whose heir it wants to be; thus its efforts are reactionary in the deepest sense. For it desires an abundance of executive power, as only despotism ever had; indeed, it outdoes everything in the past by striving for the downright destruction of the individual, who it sees as an unauthorized luxury of nature, and who it intends to improve into a useful organ of the community. It crops up in the vicinity of all excessive displays of power because of its relation to it, like the typical old socialist Plato, at the court of the Sicilian tyrant; it desires (and in certain circumstances, furthers) the Caesarean power state of this century, because, as we said, it would like to be its heir. But even this inheritance would not suffice for its purposes, it needs the most submissive subjugation of all citizens to the absolute state, the like of which has never existed; and since it cannot even count any longer on the old religious piety towards the state, having rather always to work automatically to eliminate piety- because it works on the elimination of all existing states-, it can only hope to exist here and there for short periods of time by means of the most extreme terrorism. Therefore, it secretly prepares for the reigns of terror, and drives the word "justice" like a nail into the heads of the half-educated masses, to rob them completely of their reason (after this reason has already suffered a great deal from its half-education), and to create in them a good conscience for the vil game that they are to play.- Socialism can serve as a rather brutal and forceful way to teach the danger of all accumulations of state power, and to that extent instill one with distrust of the state itself. When its harsh voice chimes in with the battle cry "as much state as possible," it will at first make the cry noisier than ever; but soon the opposite cry will be heard with strength the greater: "as little state as possible". " - Friedrich Nietzsche

The brilliant Existentialist philsopher Nietzsche could not have put my dissatisfaction with Socialism and its use of the state in any better words than these. Socialism and Communism, which both claim to be revolutionary and humanistic, are both actually deeply reactionary and inhumane in their practice. Collectivism is their religion. They stand up for the slavery of the individual to "the rabble" or, even worse, to those who proclaim to speak for "the rabble". Tyranny of the collective. How could any healthy individual, with any pride or belief in the strength of his own individuality, raise the flag of socialism/communist as his cause? Only those who see no strength in themselves, as individuals, scream and shout for the collective to be their guardian. This collectivist social attitude, which socialism and communism instill within a society, gives the state more reason to portray itself as an instrument of "the working people", "the community", "the greater good", the collective, society, or "the people". Any of these nice-sounding, abstract terms is sufficiently heart-warming to "half-educated" listeners and they are greeted into the listeners' ears, hearts and minds with open arms. "My country is not just an ordinary republic. It is a People's republic." says the individual brainwashed by collectivist ideology. And what makes these spectres, which have haunted the world since before Karl Marx released his manifesto, even more dangerous is their willingness to use the state apparatus, often violently and without regards to human rights, in order to achieve their "revolution". What kind of revolution bequeaths power over individual liberty to the state? Any revolution which has the goal of limiting my freedom as a single, unique individual is not worthy of the name "revolution". AS LITTLE STATE AS POSSIBLE! Such is the true battle cry of lovers of freedom!

"The properties of money are my own properties and faculties. What I am and can do is, therefore, not at all determined by my individuality. I am ugly, but I can buy the most beautiful woman for myself. Consequently, I am not ugly, for the effect of ugliness, its power to repel, is annulled by money... I am a detestable, unscrupulous, and stupid man, but money is honored and so also is its possessor." -Karl Marx

Despite my intense anti-communism and anti-collectivist attitude, I am certainly not the hardcore disciple and supporter of bougeois ideology that I may seem to be. Many leftist critiques of capitalism are completely valid and should be addressed and changed. The incredible social power and influence that money has is an unattractive aspect of capitalism to say the least. Money comes to surpass the strength of people themselves to influence and change things in society. Money arbitrarily endows individuals and corporations, who tend to possess a large amount of it, with an unjust amount of political and social influence. Pharmaceutical companies and their lobbyists influence drug policy. Presidential nominees with bigger campaign funds are more likely to win races than their more financially humble opponents. Art, in its various forms, loses all its emotional and aesthetic value and becomes merely a commodity. Art becomes a product to be formulaically created, watered down, standardized, de-radicalized, and transformed into mere, socially sedating "entertainment". And this sub-standard yet standardized, mediocre pseudo-art is promoted and marketed to the public to the point where the public is fooled into thinking that this artistic mediocrity is artistic genius. The political and social dominance of capital must be put to an end.

Ron Paul = The Truth

Though the media has pretty much ignored him, the internet is going crazy over him. I never realized how libertarian the internet is, but now, I'm proud to consider myself part of this growing movement for Ron Paul becoming our next president. A strongly principled libertarian who has never voted to raise taxes and has been one of the few Republicans to be against the Iraq War from the very beginning, Ron Paul seems like he should be getting much more media attention. But for some reason (probably his anti-internet regulation stance), the Internet has taken up Ron Paul as it's candidate. I never thought I could support a Republican candidate for president, since the party hasn't abided by its libertarian ideals since Barry Goldwater. But hey, politics makes strange bedfellows.
Ron Paul is an interesting paradox. (Which he actually shouldn't be) He's a revolutionary conservative. Revolutionary because he's a "conservative" who is non-interventionist, against internet regulation, anti-drug war, anti-Iraq War and he even wants to abolish income tax and the IRS. But any political junkie will let you know that Ron Paul's small government ideology is the true traditional conservative position. It was Thomas Jefferson's, Thomas Paine's, and most of the Founding Fathers' position. Sadly though, Ron Paul doesn't take a strong pro-gay marriage or pro-choice stance. He passes those decisions on whether to legalize or ban abortion and gay marriage to the states. I'd much rather he say straight up that any law made banning abortion or gay marriage is counterproductive towards establishing true freedom in America.
Also, some racist remarks that Ron Paul allegedly made in the 90's have come out. But thankfully, Ron Paul has stated that he actually did not write the remarks and that they were simply part of a newsletter which bore his name. He states,
They were never my words, but I had some moral responsibility for them...I actually really wanted to try to explain that it doesn't come from me directly, but they [campaign aides] said that's too confusing. 'It appeared in your letter and your name was on that letter and therefore you have to live with it.
Good shit... cause the alleged remarks are hilarious yet clearly offensive. And the allegedly anti-Semitic remarks made by Ron Paul are simply criticisms of the Israeli lobby's power in Washington. Ron Paul clearly elaborates on his website his view of racism as an ugly form of collectivism. (Which it precisely is!) So I don't think Ron Paul is a racist. Just political spin and name calling from certain media outlets.
So ASH THA GOD is officially pushing for Ron Paul as our next Commander In Chief. But I'm not exactly sure if the Republican party's base will vote for him as the nomination. Hopefully though, the Republican party will come to its senses and return back to its former ideals of small government and freedom for the individual! If not... Go Barack Obama!! PEACE!!

The Anatomy Of A School Shooting...

Meet Cho Seung-Hui. The Virginia Tech shooter. We all know what happened, so let's examine why. I'm tired of people complaining that NBC shouldn't play the manifesto that Cho Seung-Hui sent to them. Don't you think that seeing what this kid had to say MIGHT give us some insight into why he felt it necessary to go on a killing spree? So, because of fear that people might copy this mass murder, the media has avoided playing the manifesto in full. Judging from what has been released from the last words of this killer, he was a mentally-ill loner who built up an extreme hate of the "in-crowd", whom he viewed as hedonistic rich kids. He made some allusions to Jesus in order to portray himself as a martyr (which the media has mis-characterized as "railing against Christianity"). One of his quotes was
"Do you know what it feels like to be humiliated and impaled upon the cross? Thanks to you I die like Jesus Christ, to inspire generations of the weak and the defenceless people,"
I feel sympathy for kids like him until they do something as crazy as this. There are lots of kids who AREN'T crazy but get picked on and outcasted amongst their peers just because they don't "fit in". The kids at Columbine were the same type of outcast loners. But sadly, these kids resorted to very extreme measures to get even with the "in-crowd" which they were excluded from. Though on the other hand, when you're young, lonely, outcasted, and therefore essentially powerless, extreme acts might seem right in order to satisfy your natural will to power. Interestingly, I find some similarities with this kid's mind state and of Islamic terrorists, who come from these situations of perceived powerlessness, and lash out against the powerful, "hedonistic", and "rich" West. Hopefully, we can find a way to prevent kids like this from going crazy and becoming better socially integrated. Alienation, when it seems constant and impossible to overcome, can eat away at one's very being and sense of empathy.

Also, I'm TIRED of people reading Cho Seung-Hui's two plays (Titled "Richard McBeef" and "Mr. Brownstone") and saying "Someone should've known he was gonna kill someone! Look at how macabre these plays are!" In that case, Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, and all the people who helped write the Bible (which contains acts of incest, pedophilia, genocide, infanticide, etc) ought to be profiled as "capable of a mass murder". Even worse are the assholes (*cough* Dr Phil *cough*) who are turning this mass murder into an opportunity to rail against "violent video games" and other forms of media. Cho Seung-Hui's own roommate said on Chris Matthews' show that he never saw him playing any video games, so there goes that dumb-ass argument in one swoop. Also, this incident would NOT have been prevented with tougher gun control laws. But it would mos def have been prevented if just one of the 30+ people that were killed were packing some protection themselves.

Here are some must listens to make you think about WHY school shootings like this happen. Ill Bill and Apathy both convey to the listener why kids snap and take extreme measures in order to get back at society and the "in-crowd". Until next crime... PEACE!

"Baby, I'm Into WEED And Snortin POWDER, All We Need Is An Hour, On A Day Like Today...."

Well, it seems that Democratic Senator for Illinois Barack Obama admitted, in his memoir Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, to using marijuana and cocaine in high school and college. One particularly interesting line from this memoir, which Time magazine said "may be the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician", about his drug use in high school is:
"Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though"
Damn, I am most definitely voting for this guy if he runs for President in 2008. The dude is just like me... A drug-takin', racially-mixed political science major. I hope his drug policy reflects the fact that he himself is a former (and maybe current?) drug user. I just wish he didn't conform to the political paradigm of "I used to do drugs, but I learned how bad they are!" Drinkin' a little booze, puffin' some herb, and takin' a bump here and there shouldn't be something to be ashamed of in the first place. But unfortunately, in our nation of Puritans, a presidential candidate's past drug use is always an issue. Hopefully, Senator Obama's dabbling in mind altering substances as a youth won't have a negative effect on his current political aspirations. Barack Obama obviously enjoyed getting high when he was young, did it responsibly, and then moved on to bigger and better things. (Namely Harvard Law school and his current political career) And atleast Senator Obama had the balls to openly admit his past drug use, unlike our current President. If anything, his admission should gain him more votes. Of course, people like those assholes on Fox News in the morning are going to badmouth him, but anyone who knows anything about drugs will know that past drug use doesn't make a difference on how good a job a person can presently do. If he's not careful, Obama could become a drug-culture icon. Will Senator Obama become the first president to openly admit to past marijuana and cocaine use? (Remember, Clinton said he "didn't inhale" and Bush won't admit shit!) Damn, I wish I was Pat Robertson so God could tell me the future! Damn crazy Christians!! It just goes to show you that the people who DON'T do drugs turn out crazy! PEACE!!
